This is Jane Larish and I am the one who has posted (though several years ago) on Genforum re: Larish. My husband’s Larish discovered proven roots go to the early 1800’s and perhaps the late 1700’s in Pennsylvania. Most – if not all – the Larishes residing in the United States can trace their ancestry to this family.
We have long known that the name if of Silesian origin or at least it is from the old Austro-Hungarian Empire. Cousins Clyde Larish – now deceased – and Paul Larish journeyed there years ago and found Larishes and began some genealogical research though none of it could be directly connected to the „first” Larishes in America. We do know that the early Larishes spoke German as many of the documents associated with them are written in that language.
